2Sequoia   Learning Update

Central idea: History can be a journey of discovery!

Our first line of inquiry led us on a journey of discovery! We began by thinking about our own personal history, making timelines and learning about the concept of chronology, to show significant events within our lifetime. We are enjoying finding out about The Great Fire of London and the important people who helped when London was burning. We can't wait to continue and find out more!

We have drafted and edited diary entries in the style of Samuel Pepys writing about the horrors of the fire and learning how to write about our feelings and emotions when witnessing such a major event.

We have worked hard to recognise and find fractions including halves, quarters and thirds. We are remembering what the denominator and numerator are and learning how division and sharing equally are important in our fractions learning.

Please remember to sign up for our trip to St Paul's Cathedral on Monday 11th March. We are really looking forward to finding out lots of interesting facts about The Great Fire of London.

We will be making Tudor houses next week. If you have any cereal boxes or boxes of a similar size, please could you bring them in?
