1Willow     Learning Update

Central idea: Learning about the past can help me to understand the present.

Willow class have started this module out fantastically! They have been busy using their core text Peepo! to see and learn about objects from the past. We have also gained some fantastic writing opportunities out of this. This past week the children have brought in pictures of their families both present and past and they have made some really beautiful family history scrapbooks! It was incredibly special to hear the children speak so passionately and with so much knowledge about their family's past. 

In maths, the children have been working with numbers to 50. We have spent some time understanding tens and ones within those numbers and even the number line to 50! 

Our reading rainbow book has been 'The Proudest Blue'. We have been learning about our British values, one of those being tolerance.
