3Beech Learning Update

Central idea: People go on vacation to explore different communities.

This week we have finished our first line of inquiry: An inquiry into what a vacation is. This led us into our second line of inquiry focusing on tourism opportunities. The children discussed and explained why people visit particular destinations, which we began to explore. We started by looking at different cuisines around the world. The children taste tested a variety of foods from different countries and places. Then they wanted to incorporate these foods into a meal from another country. After a vote they planned out their own pizza's and greek salad that they are excited to make next week.

In maths we have started looking at money, specifically pounds and pence and adding money. The children have enjoyed using the resources for their own understanding.
