Juniper Learning Update

Central idea: People communicate to share knowledge and experiences.

"2, 1, 1 more that makes 4"

"Miss Chadwick, I made 6 with a 3 and a 3"

It has been another fantastic week in the early years! With the special delivery of the Christmas tree last week, ready to be put up on 1st December, the children prepared by writing christmas lists (using their impressive phonic knowledge) which of course need to be delivered to Santa Claus himself. The children wrote Santa's address on envelopes ready to add our christmas lists into. Chloe: "but how does he know where we live?" Very good question Chloe, we decided to create maps showing Santa how to travel from The North Pole to each child's house. We examined maps of the world to consider how far Santa may need to travel. Oliver: I can see the blue water, that's the ocean". On Thursday, the fun began, team juniper helped to put the tree up and got busy making decorations - I must say, they did a wonderful job! The children seem excited to add more decorations over time. I am particularly proud of how enthusiastic all children have been with their maths this week. Well done, to you all!

Our nativity practise is in full swing and the children are working so hard. We can't wait to show you soon! Please let your either Miss Williams or I know by Wednesday 7th December whether you are providing the costume or you would like us to. A letter was sent home on Thursday that had more details! :)

I hope you have a pleasant weekend! See you on Monday!
