3/4Cedar Learning Update

Central idea: Literature can drive our appreciation of culture.

It has been an active week. We completed our journey through Europe by cooking some of the food that we discovered on our travels. We made Belgium waffles and Italian pizza. We also worked with Mr Townsend to complete an orienteering task around the school groups. Putting our map skills to the test.

We then looked at the next stage of our science lessons on rocks. We learned about the process of fossilisation and looked at the life of Mary Anning.

In maths the year 4's have been learning about multiplication and division facts, using these facts to solve a range of different problems. The year 3's have completed their unit of learning about addition and subtraction.

In guided reading we have continued to follow Tom on his journey as he bikes around the world. We have followed him through the Middle East and into Africa where he visits the pyramids and travels down the River Nile.
