Central idea: Cultural identity could be expressed through creativity.

At the beginning of the week, the children looked at festival poems from around the world and chose a festival to research more about. It was wonderful to see them actively researching Holi (India), the Cherry Blossom Festival (Japan), Harbin Ice Festival (China) and La Tomatina Festival (Spain). Using this information, they have written diary entries, postcards home and their own poem.

In maths, we have focused on the 3, 6 and 9 times tables and looking at the relationship between them. Practising these at home, alongside the 2,4,5,10 times table will continue to help your child.
