1Willow Learning Update

Central idea: Celebrations can enhance the way we see the world

This week the children have been learning about bonfire night and the reasons why we celebrate it. They have really taken their time to deconstruct the story and even have a go at thinking and rewriting a different ending. In maths we have continued to focus on subtraction as well as fact families.

In science we have been looking at materials. In particular this week the children looked at different paper. The children created their own hypothesis about what would happen when the water is placed on the paper. The children then performed their tests and recorded their findings. Willow class you are amazing scientists well done!

We are looking forward to a very busy and exciting week in class next week.

Please remember that book changes will take place on a Tuesday and Thursday. A gentle reminder to send your child to school with a water bottle please.
