Juniper Learning Update

Central idea: Our interests and experiences can make us who we are.

Juniper class have continued to make Miss Williams and I so proud this week.

We have discovered lots of shared interests in Team Juniper including sports, pets, parks, friends and family, movies and singing. The children have been very excited to welcome their parents along to our singing concert to share our interest with you all. It has been very fun learning the french song 'Frère Jacques' and others. What talented children we have at Marden!

After discussing our shared interests in the early years, lots of our children spoke about their unique interests. Jack shared his impressive knowledge about vehicles with the class. Freya shared how speaking German makes her unique and even shared with the class that 'good morning' in German is 'Guten Morgen'. It has been so exciting to hear about all of the children's unique, special talents!

This week, maths has had a focus on matching and sorting objects. The children have been very inventive using objects in our classroom to match and sort in various ways. Keep up the good work Team Juniper!

The children have continued to show off their impressive phonic knowledge and it is great to see they are engaging with their reading books and homework. The children are getting fantastic at talking about the illustrations in a book and considering what might happen. Reading books are changed every Thursday.

Our first PE lesson was great fun, we look forward to many more! PE will be every Tuesday afternoon.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Miss Chadwick
