Principal's Message

After a week away from the newsletter, it is wonderful yet again to share our fantastic learning here at Marden Primary Academy. A special mention has to be made about Oak and Juniper classes in EYFS, who completed their very first week at school. They have settled incredibly well and it had been lovely watching them join our school community.

Looking out of the window, I think the time has come to end summer uniform until Summer 1 (Module 5). It is also expected that all children now have a school jumper or cardigan with the Marden logo in school. If you need any further guidance on uniform please visit the website: https://mardenprimaryacademy.org.uk/uniform/

Next week we have a fun-filled week - make sure you check out the dates for your diary underneath! We also have reviewers from the International Baccalaureate for a pre-authorisation visit. This is really important in our quest to become an IB World School! We have come a long way in terms of our inquiry-based curriculum, please spend some time speaking to your children about their Central Ideas, Lines of Inquiry and Learner Profile Attributes. I am sure you will be as impressed as I am.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Mr N Dosad

Travelling Book Fair 23/9 - 28/9

The Travelling Book Fair will be in school from Friday 23rd September - Wednesday 28th September. It will open at 3.15pm every day in the dining hall/KS1 playground.

Prices start at £2.99 and there are hundreds of books available with something for every age, ability and interest. You can get a sneak preview of the books available here. If your child would like a particular book, but you are unable to attend the Book Fair in person, please complete the Wishlist Form and return it to the office.

You can pay easily and securely for books when you attend the fair using the online payment link at https://bookfairs.scholastic.co.uk/travelling-books/pay and simply selecting Marden Primary Academy from the drop-down menu.

Every purchase earns the academy rewards which we can spend on free books to stock our library and classrooms.

Marden Is A Cashless School

The academy is now operating a cashless payment system with Online Payments using My Child At School (MCAS). You can use MCAS to pay for school lunches, clubs, trips, wraparound care, year 6 revision books and other items.

Alternatively, you can navigate to Profile > PayPointAccount within the MCAS app and use the barcode to top up your child's accounts at a PayPoint station with cash. The nearest one can be found in Marden Stores.

Individual & Sibling Photos

Braiswick Photographic will be in school on Wednesday 16th November to take individual and sibling photos. Please ensure that all children are dressed smartly and in the correct uniform on this day, including a jumper or cardigan with the Marden logo.

As with previous years, there will be an opportunity for those with younger siblings not yet in school to have photos taken together between 3.15pm-3.45pm
