2Sequoia Learning Update

Central idea: Exploring identity can develop a sense of belonging.

We have had another amazing week of learning in Sequoia Class with our inquiry really beginning to come to life! The children are inquiring about what identity means and we have enjoyed finding out what makes us special and unique. The children are now beginning to write a letter to a pen friend, telling them all about their unique qualities.

In maths we have worked hard to understand the value of our numbers to 100. We have written our numbers in expanded form using our knowledge of tens and ones and explored number lines with different start and end points.

In our science learning this week, we have been investigating the big question: 'Do the tallest children always have the biggest feet?' We have had a lot of fun taking measurements, comparing, creating bar graphs and trying to reach conclusions.
