2Maple Learning Update


Central idea: Exploring identity can develop a sense of belonging.

What a busy week we have had in Maple! We have really got to grips with expressing numbers up to one hundred in expanded form as well as using number lines to manipulate and count in ones and tens from different starting points. Children are using their deepening knowledge about identity to now plan and write a wonderful letter to a pen friend. We are focusing on using coordinating conjunctions to structure our sentences (and, but, so, or) as well as trying to use interesting and engaging language.

In our science learning this week, we have been investigating the big question: 'Do the tallest children always have the biggest feet?' We have had a lot of fun taking measurements, comparing, creating bar graphs and trying to reach conclusions.
