Syrian Civil War experience (1).pdf

This week, we have started exploring the infringements on rights and freedoms (our relational line of inquiry). As our main focus, we have deconstructed the Syrian Civil War, considering how actions taken by the Syrian government are a direct infringement on rights, forcing many Syrians to flee their home- and everyone deserves the right to feel safe! We have shown our understanding by writing as Ahmet, the focus character of our class text, reflecting on what he may have experienced being caught up within the war by using high level vocabulary and phrases to describe.

Our maths has seen us continue to build upon our place value with a focus on numbers up to one million, including non-standard partitioning and identifying numbers on a number line.
