Juniper Learning Update

Central idea: Our likes and dislikes make us who we are.

Miss Williams and I are so proud of Team Juniper and how quickly they have settled in during their first week of school. We are especially pleased with how familiar the children have become with the class routines in such a short amount of time. It is exciting to see the children building friendships both within our class and with the children in Oak class.

The children have shown an enthusiasm to learn and a willingness to engage while exploring the text "The Lion and The Bird". When discussing the text as a class, Finn thought "the bird misses his mummy and daddy" and Esme said "the lion has been a good friend" prompting us to think about what we can do if we miss our family and what we can do to be a good friend. Flora suggested we should "be kind" to be a good friend, which we agreed to be our first class rule.

Throughout the week the children have planted seeds like the Lion in our story, Jamie said "now we can watch them grow". The children have enjoyed cutting the characters out from copied pages of the book and exploring these images while experimenting with spaghetti, playdough and water play.

Reminder: If you have not yet emailed a family photograph, please could this be done by Monday 12th September.

Reminder: Pick up time is 13:00 next week.

Have a great weekend!
