2Maple Learning Update

Central idea: Exploring identity can develop a sense of belonging.

Welcome to 2Maple! We have had a super first week getting to know our new routines and expectations; particularly focusing on our whole school ethos of 'Ready, Respect, Safe'. Children have been immersed in our transition project 'Clean Water for All' which we are looking forward to showcasing for you soon. We have explored the concept of identity during an exciting learning provocation to kick off our new central idea whereby we attempted to build another me! In maths, we have been focusing on our knowledge and understanding of place value, whilst in reading we have been diving into our new class book 'Croc and Bird'.

Reminders: Please ensure your child reads at home every day - a simple initial and date on their reading bookmark will count towards a raffle ticket prize draw reward. Return the reading folder weekly on the day shown for book change and reading with Mrs Williams or Miss Packman. PE is on a Monday, but please make sure your PE kit is in school all week as we may take other opportunities for additional PE.
