1Spruce Learning Update

Central idea: Human relationships can create a sense of belonging.

The children have enjoyed their first full week in Year 1, diving straight into the first line of inquiry with real enthusiasm! We have been discussing what a relationship is and how important they are to our lives. There has also been some fantastic learning surrounding gender equality in preparation for our exhibition showcasing our Sustainable Development Goal Project, with the children thinking about why they are all special in their own unique ways.

In maths we have been working on sorting objects in a variety of ways and we were able to avoid the rain to organise some natural items in our school environment. We have also worked really hard on our phonics skills, reading and writing in our brand new books which was very exciting!

Please remember to have a PE kit in school all week.
