Y2 Summer

England Hockey

On Tuesday, year 2 had an amazing day out at Lee Valley Hockey Stadium where they watched England play against Australia in a women’s international hockey match. The pupils were by far the noisiest (and most enthusiastic!) fans in the stadium, cheering loudly and supporting both teams with great respect.

They were thrilled to see England win 1-0 – what a match! After the game, year 2 took a lovely walk through the Olympic Park and finished their adventure with some fun in the outdoor playground before heading back to school.

Everyone had a fantastic time and showed the Stratford Manor values all day long. Well done, Year 2 – you made us all very proud!

Horizon 22

Year 2 have had such a busy week this week! As part of our curriculum focus of 'London then and Now', 2 Maathai visited Horizon 22 to explore the views and identify some of London's most famous landmarks. Everyone really enjoyed being so high up and looking through the huge glass windows. It is amazing how much of London we could see!
