What is Physics about?
Physics is the study of the four natural forces and their interaction.
Physics is about asking fundamental questions and trying to answer them by observing and experimenting.
Physicists are problem solvers. Their analytical skills make physicists versatile and adaptable using their skills in a wide range of applications.
Physics leads to great discoveries, like computers and lasers, which lead to technologies which change our lives—from healing joints, to curing cancer, to developing sustainable energy solutions.
What about mathematics?
Many apparently complicated things in nature can be understood in terms of relatively simple mathematical relationships.
Physicists try to uncover these relationships through observing, creating mathematical models, and testing them by doing experiments.
The mathematical equations used in physics often look far more complicated than they really are.
If you are going to study physics, you will need to master a certain amount of maths.
