Welcome to the SCI 101B page for 2022

The Sci 101B course is both internally and externally assessed. The three internally assessed standards will be completed at school. The two externally assessed standards will be assessed during an external examination in November.

As per the course outline, the assessments offered will be:

AS90950 Science 1.11 (4 credits) Internally Assessed: Investigate biological ideas relating to interactions between humans and microorganisms

AS90925 Biology 1.1 (4 credits) Internally Assessed: Carry out a practical investigation in a biological context, with direction

AS90930 Chemistry 1.1 (4 credits) Internally Assessed: Carry out a practical chemistry investigation, with direction

AS90940 Science 1.1 (4 credits) Externally Assessed : Demonstrate understanding of mechanics

AS90930 Science 1.5 (4 credits) Externally Assessed: Demonstrate understanding of aspects of acids and bases.
