How to move the Windows 11 taskbar to the left
One of the most obvious changes in Windows 11 was the decision to move the taskbar from the bottom-left of the display to the middle. For those that have the habit of quickly moving their mouse to the bottom-left corner to launch the Start menu, this is for you.
Right-click a blank area on the taskbar, then click Taskbar settings.
The Settings app will open to Personalization. Click the Taskbar behaviours dropdown to see more settings.
Bonus tip: Remove taskbar search box
Although the search box in the Taskbar can come in handy to quickly find files, apps, settings, and web results, it’s a giant visual element that takes up a lot of space that you can use to pin other apps.
Right-click a blank area on the taskbar, then click Taskbar settings.
The Settings app will open to Personalization. Under the “Taskbar items” section, choose the Hide option for the Search setting.
