How to use ICTPD

...and once the learning is done, Evaluate!

Evaluation

Welcome to the Macleans ICTPD site.

This course is organised in sections and levels. The sections include the different "products" you might encounter when teaching using digital devices (such as Google Docs, Slides or Classroom) as well as general digital and/or electronic tools around the school.

The levels (1-3) represent levels of proficiency from the basics (level 1) to the most advanced (level 3). Ideally, all teachers should achieve L1 proficiency.

In order to demonstrate your proficiency, use the link to the partner site Evaluation (top right-hand corner of your site navigation bar) to find the Google form for your Product and Level (both sites are identical in order to facilitate navigation). There, you will find a list of tasks you would need to be able to fulfill in order to achieve that level. You would need to submit evidence of your ability to complete these tasks (this can take the form of screenshots, videocasting, or any other format you see fit).

Please note that each level has a focus which should be reflected on your submision:

L1-Anytime/anywhere: how does your new learning help you to make content/communcation available to students beyond shool buildings/time?

L2- Collaboration: how does your new learning help you to enble collaboration (teacher/teacher; teacher/student and/or student/student)

L3-Innovation: how does your new learning help you to shift your practice

The purpose of this site is not to assess your knowledge but to assist you to learn. Feel free to use the Forum to ask or answer questions about any ICT related topic. As more people interact using these tools, you would be able to navigate through their questions and answers and (hopefully) find that bit of knowledge you were looking for).

To start your journey, have a look at the Home page of both sites (ICTPD and Evaluation) in order to gain more understanding of the purpose and processes behind this ICTPD course. Once you understand this, select the product and level you would like to gain/demonstrate your proficiency; watch the tutorials and submit the evidence.

The Teaching and Learning /Digital Learning Integration Team will contact you to certify your accomplishment.

Enjoy your journey!

Kind Regards
