In accordance with the guidance from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Senate Bill 681, Liberty Public Schools established a comprehensive system of services for reading instruction for Pre-K - 12 learners. LPS students experience a comprehensive system of services for evidence-based reading instruction, which incorporates a range of strategies and resources to support students at all levels of literacy development. The LPS reading plan was developed by a team that included instructional coaches, professional development council representatives, curriculum council, and Heads of State (grade-level representatives). The team also analyzed Liberty Public School's current trend data utilizing the state and district testing results. Through this multi-faceted approach, the team has developed a comprehensive plan for literacy to serve the students of Liberty Public Schools.
