The Year 7s have been having a blast studying this May. They rounded off last half term by creating dioramas of Moon Base Alpha from the book Space Case, which they read during Reading Week. The students had a lot of fun and produced exceptional work.
The Year 7 teachers were particularly impressed with the work produced by Gurpreet P. (Rams) and Harkirat S. (Titans).
In Thematic, they learnt about the 'Swinging Sixties' and what it was like to live during that time period. Learning about Mods and Rockers, Flower Power, Feminism and more, they produced some really excellent work.
We have picked out some top examples from Abdullah S. (Rams) and Leo W. (Titans).
In English, our youngest students discovered the Origins of Literature. They looked at myths, legends and epics. Examples included Jason and Argonauts, King Midas, Robin Hood and King Arthur. Students then had to write their own myth in the style of the old Greek tales. Here are some of the featured best from Usman I. (Rams) and Gurvan G. (Titans).
