The building principal is responsible for school counselor program evaluation.
LR uses Talent Ed for evaluations. Counselor evaluations are specifically designed to evaluate and develop the counselor and program.
The counselor will be evaluated on:
Implementation of the Comprehensive School Counseling Program
Meeting needs of special groups
Meeting needs of individual students
Public relations
Counselor/parent relations
Counselor/student relations
Counselor/staff relations
Classroom activities
Professional development
Management of the Comprehensive School Counseling Program
Other duties that the principal feels are important
The structure and implementation of the program will be reviewed and revised as necessary to meet the concerns expressed in the evaluation.
Building principal uses DESE standards for counseling program evaluation
Counselor Evaluation Forms provided by DESE or other District selected program used at principal discretion

As with all school counseling materials, districts are free to use and/or customize. School Counselors should be provided support and evaluated using tools designed for school counselors.
