In order to meet both the Missouri Comprehensive School Counseling and Missouri School Improvement Program guidelines, the Logan-Rogersville Counseling Department conducts a Guidance Planning Survey every 5 years. The results of this survey help us to plan our guidance and counseling program around themes identified as important by students, parents, and teachers. The LR Counseling Department will use the following DESE example to create a survey to send to students, caregivers, and faculty.

Conclusions based on data evaluations:
Logan-Rogersville students, parents, and teachers/staff indicate a strong belief counseling concepts are important.
Based on the above data, each grade level has different rankings for the importance of skills/concepts based on specific developmental student needs.
The counseling curriculum should be adjusted and modified to divide the percentage of time covering each idea based upon a combination of student, parent, and staff rankings of student needs per grade level in order to meet the needs of students.
Counseling curriculum and services meet the needs of students in the Logan-Rogersville School District and maintain the flexibility within state requirements to meet the specific needs of our students.
