Caregivers:
I believe ever child should be taught that they as an individual are valued and loved no matter which career path they choose. I'd rather see students thrive by learning everyday skills like balancing a checkbook and doing laundry managing their time and sharing their talents and skills than to be pushed toward feeling like college is the only way.
K/1 counseling classes and small groups should be focused on social/emotional learning. Students lacking in these skills affect the classroom dynamic to the point that academic and career readiness take a back seat because students lacking in social emotional skills interrupt a significant amount of learning throughout the day.
