Film Music Unit

Lesson 1 explores the function of music in film. 

Lesson 2 is a short history of music in film. 

For the rest of the unit, children work in groups to create their own scores for film, using some of the techniques they have been learning about: eg. creating suspense by using a heartbeat rhythm, trills, moving in semitones, contrasting timbre and pitch, dissonance and dynamic build up.
