Instrumental Lessons
Instrumental lessons in school
Music lessons (apart from drums - see below) are provided by Ealing Music Service
You can sign up for music lessons by completing the Music Provision Form, which is sent out to parents in the middle of the summer term
Lessons take place during school hours - it is therefore not recommended that your child takes more than one instrument in school
Please note that class teacher may ask pupils to catch up missed classroom lessons - eg. Maths or English - at other times of the day (eg. lunchbreak)
Cost:
- Violin, woodwind (flute/clarinet/sax), cello, brass (trumpet/trombone/French horn) and mini-bassoon: £13 for a 20 minute 1-1 lesson or a 30 minute group lesson (2 children)
- Guitar: £11 for 30 minute group lesson (3-4 children)
- Orchestra (by invitation): £4 per session
Your child will receive 30 lessons over the year (normally divided up into 10 lessons per term)
Lessons will be either 1-1 (20 mins) or small group (30 mins)
There may be times when there is a clash between a lesson and an organised school event (such as a trip). In such cases, we cannot give refunds for missed lessons, though teachers will make every effort to reschedule lessons if at all possible
If a tutor is absent, lessons will be rescheduled – please note that this may be later in the year

In the unlikely event that you want to stop lessons, you will need to give a FULL 1/2 TERM'S NOTICE + 1 WEEK in writing, via the school, otherwise a full term's payment will be taken.
Your child will be given a practice book: please check this regularly as their teacher may want to pass on information to parents
You are welcome to contact your child's instrumental teacher through the school at music@leps.org.uk
Drum lessons are supplied by the Rock and Pop Foundation. They can be contacted here:
