Each year, our first year members travel to Atlantic High School and participate in the district's Greenhand Fire-Up Camp. These members learn about FFA and how to be leaders. They also get to be with other FFA members from other chapters and meet lots of new friends.
Every year, our officer team gets to participate in the Chapter Officer Leadership Training also known as COLT. There they learn about their office with the district officers. They also get to improve their leadership skills.
Every year the Lenox FFA Chapter takes our members to compete in contest of their choice as the southwest sub-districts contest. We have had different members compete in things like welding and speaking events.
Members get to participate against other chapters' members at the district level in a variety of different contests.
Every year our chapter takes members to the Iowa State Leadership Conference in Ames, Iowa. These members get to participate in many leadership workshops, sit through general sessions with great motivational speakers, and learn about all the different careers in the agriculture industry.
Members travel to Indianapolis, Indiana to the National FFA Convention. They get to meet FFA members from all over the United States.
Members participate in the Iowa State Fair FFA Shows during the Iowa State Fair. We have had members show in the swine, horse, cattle, and sheep shows.
Every year our chapter takes members to the District Soil Evaluation in Griswold, Iowa. The members judge the soil pits based on a variety of things.
Every year our chapter participates in the Northwest Missouri State University CDE Day. This year our chapter participated in the knowledge skills test, livestock judging, farm business management, and a variety of others.
At this event members have to write a paper and present it at a roundtable discussion. They also participate in an emersion session.
Members that participate in the Legislative Symposium get to talk to official Iowa congressmen and see how the legislative process works.
At this workshop members attended got to talk to different ag teachers around the state of Iowa, play different leadership games, learn about what you need to do to teach ag, and many other things.
