In the morning, before school started, members of our chapter walked with a group of elementry students to the school. Then, we all gave out granola bars and water to the kids that participated.
Our chapter spent time in the morning during school helping the city of Lenox plant various grasses and plants in a wetland section south of our high school.
Every summer the chapter officers take a trip together and participate in leadership activities while also developing teamwork skills.
2021, our chapter decided to start doing a Farmer's Appreciation Meal. After school got out we started grilling hamburgers and putting deserts and chips in paper bags. Each meal got a cheeseburger, bag, and a water.
The Lenox FFA CHapter hosted a Hero Prom for the K-2nd graders of Lenox Community Schools. We provided the students and their heroes a meal, fun activities, and a picture of them.
The Lenox Chamber of Commerce asked some Lenox FFA members to help decorate the city park for Christmas.
Iowa Select Farms asked the Lenox FFA Chapter and National Honor Society to help hand out pork loins to families for Christmas.
Every year our chapter has a parent/member banquet to commemorate all the activities we have participated in. We install the new chapter officers and award members with degrees at this banquet.
Lenox FFA members take their time out of a school day and host a petting zoo for all the elementary kids. We bring in our own animals for them to see. We also have a tractor so we can teach them about tractor safety.
Our chapter partnered with Trees for Kids Foundation and planted ten trees around the school property. We split off into groups and had different people helping out.
Lenox FFA members have participated in many events at the Taylor County Fair such as swine, sheep, horse, and cattle shows.
Our chapter hosted a Veteran's Day breakfast before the Veteran's Day Program held in the high school gym. We served pancakes, sausages, and eggs. The veteran's eat for free and there is a box for free will donations.
