If you landed here, you have found your issue. We have nothing nice to say about the device. Check out the tips below for the best possible interaction between Lemus, your TV and the TV box.
Missing sound when watching TV through Yousee Cable TV set-top box.
This issue has nothing to do with the Lemus device, but is a handshake issue between the Yousee box and the TV that makes the issue present.
To give the best possible case for the setup to work, you will need to add the set-top box to an HDMI that is HDCP 2.2 compatible, that is not the HDMI ARC used by the Lemus device.
Look in the TV manual to find the right HDMI input on your exact TV model, or contact the manufacturer of you TV.
If your TV and set-top is 4K capable the set-top may need to be set at 4K / HDCP 2.2 as output in the settings menu.
When does it accrue?
If you power on your tv and cable box in the wrong order, this issue will often be present quickly.
To come around the issue. We suggest you power on/off your tv and box in a certain routine.
Get around the issue.
Always power on the tv first, and wait 10 seconds, and then power up the set-top box.
When done watching tv, always power off the set-top box first, and then the tv. Do not leave the set-top box running while the tv is off.
Correct installation
1. Look for the STB or HDCP 2.2 marked input on the back of the TV.
Plug in the HDMI 2.0 Cable between the set-top box and the tv.
2. Set the set-top box to HDCP 2.2 or 4K in settings of your set-top box. Only if your TV supports this resolution, else set to Full HD and HDCP 2.0.
The sound issue is present, no sound, how to fix?
You will need to unplug the power of the tv and set-top box and boot them up in the right order mentioned earlier.
Why does it happen?
It happens due to a handshake issue of the encrypted signal between the set-top box and the tv.
Often the set-top box is installed in the wrong HDMI or is missing an essential setup. It may work acceptably without an external audio device. But when it comes to encrypted signals that must be passed through, everything needs to be aligned and set correctly.
This issue starts when the set-top box outputs the wrong signal for 4K tv’s. Instead of sending a HDCP 2.2 signal I will send a HDCP 2.0 signal. Then the signal is corrupt and cannot be decoded by the tv to pass through. You will then also see a Full HD picture instead of 4K. But you must be trained to see the difference right away, since the original video quality may be HD on an upscaled 4K resolution.
Guide by Yousee in Danish.
Yousee has made a guide for how to fix the issue, and how to start up correctly

But we would like to mention that this guide has some misleading pictures. We recommend you use our Lemus guide as much as possible.
Suggestion
If you have a new smart tv, with Android, Tizen or LG OS. Then go check if the Yousee app is present in the smart menu. If that is the case, your TV is new enough to have the right TV tuners built in as well, and you will be able to leave out the Yousee box all along, and still have a lot of the same features available. As a plus, you will then only have one remote, and no extra device in standby consuming electrical power.
No luck?
