The starting point to support your Personal Development is to make sure you use the Navigate Skills Assessment to identify skills you need to develop. Please take a look at these slides which will help you to use the Navigate App in your Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) lessons commonly called tutorials.
It’s a great way to record your skills development experiences in work experience, enrichment sessions or in your own time such as part time work or hobbies. This can really help you when you are applying for your next steps in education or finding work. Plus it helps you to create your CV by record all relevant activity.
We are committed to supporting our students to develop a range of skills and knowledge as well as your chosen area of study.
This chart shows the wide range of subjects that we cover to support developing your knowledge.
You can also access the Everyday Life Skills site to support you with issues that may arise in everyday life in and outside college.
The site includes links to internal support, but also houses information and signposting on a wide range of topics under the following categories:
Money
Work and Careers
Home
Body and Mind
Relationships
Society and Being Me
