Salem Public Schools strives to ensure our schools are inclusive and safe communities where students are heard, known, and cared for among all members. We must provide additional training and ongoing support to staff to more effectively work with students struggling with mental health and the impact of trauma. This page offers opportunities for educators to deepen their knowledge of Social Emotional Learning and the importance of incorporating Tier 1 SEL throughout our students’ learning experiences.
An SEL informed school does not restrict itself to curriculum only. Rather, SEL is embedded in all parts of the school and the school’s outreach. Use this link to explore for SEL supports!
