How I can help you: 

I’m working directly with you to help you be the best, fully licensed professional you want to be.  I provide the support for you to earn, advance, and renew your license, get courses approved and reimbursed, and find programs to become licensed.  I coordinate the Induction Program for beginning educators, Teachers as Scholars, National Board Certified Teachers, Mentors, and Host Teachers for mid to late career educators, and the Teacher Leadership Program for aspiring leaders.  

How I can help you: 

I'm working behind the scenes to provide you an easily accessible experience to explore PD opportunities in the district. I can help with questions pertaining to the PD website, PD Calendars, and Vector Solutions (formerly Teachpoint) access. 

I also work closely with Dr. Kim Talbot to prepare and provide teacher and leader growth documentation including induction letters, 50+ mentor hour letters, and DESE Verification Forms.

How I can help you: 

I am working on systems to ensure  the data we have on file about your license status, degrees and years of experience is correct. Our goal is to make certain that the teachers working for Salem Public Schools have a proper and active license and are getting the support they need to be the best educators they can be. Providing accurate data to the people who are here to make that happen is paramount to this effort. Building systems to uncover and fix inaccuracies is a large part of the function of the Data and Applications branch of Instructional Technology.

The Office of Employee Engagement supports Salem educators in several ways.  We help staff understand DESE licensure regulations and can provide the documentation staff needs to obtain or advance their licensure.  Our office processes all staff requests for salary advancement.  We also manage all job postings for the district on SchoolSpring and can help educators explore various opportunities within the Salem Public Schools.
