Social Emotional Well-Being

School counselors, School Social Workers, and School Psychologists are committed to supporting students’ social/emotional needs. As advocates for students, they promote a positive environment that enhances students’ ability to properly manage the social/emotional demands of their lives. Your mental health professionals use appropriate appraisal methods to promote a school environment designed to propel students toward positive mindsets and behaviors supporting social/emotional development through direct (e.g., classroom curriculum, group counseling and individual counseling) and indirect (e.g., collaborating or consulting with staff, families or communities) services.

UNIFIED MENTAL HEALTH TEAM

LRHS parents and guardians may email the Unified Mental Health Team (UMHT) at Lightridge High School if they need assistance with a mental health situation with their child. The UMHT member can assist parents and guardians with information regarding the best approach for supporting their student’s mental health needs. Upon receipt of an email, a member from the school UMHT staff is expected to respond within 24 hours on workdays (not including weekends, holidays, or non-work days).

This resource is intended to connect families with UMHT members located at their school. The UMHT email resource should not be used in an emergency situation. In emergency situations, parents or guardians should contact emergency services or their mental health professional.
