Hello Lightning!
I'm so excited to be a part of Lightridge High School! I have been a School Counselor in Loudoun County since 2014, having previously served the Heritage High School community.
I was born in Virginia but have lived on both coasts and spent most of my school-age years between Maryland and North Carolina. Virginia has been my home since graduating from Clemson in 2006.
I was inspired to become a School Counselor after working at a wilderness therapeutic private school in the woods of central Virginia both as a Group Leader and Family Worker for six years, as well as Intensive In-Home Counseling for a year. Those experiences helped me realize I wanted to affect change in students' lives at a more proactive level. My favorite part of being a School Counselor is building relationships with students and their families, and helping to guide them into life after high school.
I am married with two kids and two dogs. I coach CrossFit in my free time, as well as enjoy cooking and watching my Clemson Tigers play football on Saturdays.
I look forward to working with the whole Lightridge community. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Here's to a fantastic year and Go Bolts!
