New Student Registration

WELCOME TO ALDIE!

We are excited to have your child as part of the Lightridge community. Currently our counselors are busy conducting academic advising sessions for our current students. We will begin to meet with new families after Spring Break, April 5 2021. Our school registrar, Stephanie Koplets, will review your online application and contact you for further information and to schedule an appointment with your child’s counselor to review their transcript and choose classes for the 2021-2022 school year. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to meeting all our future Bolts!

Online Pre-registration Overview

An overview of the steps to pre-register a new LCPS student using the Online Pre-registration portal. Students who have attended LCPS in the past, but are not current students may also be pre-registered. Please exclude any of your children currently attending an LCPS school during the process.

STEP 3:

  • Due to the time involved, enrollments are by appointment only. Please call 571-367-4107 to schedule a registration appointment AFTER you have completed the online registration above. When you call for an appointment, please notify us if any of the conditions listed below apply to your son/daughter:

    • Your child is transferring from another LCPS high school.

    • Your child receives special education services.

    • Your child speaks English as a second language.

      • All new students entering LCPS for the first time will be required to provide documentation that a tuberculosis screening has been performed no earlier than 3 months (90 days) prior to registration for school.

      • This also applies to previous students who have been out of LCPS for more than one year.

      • The documentation must be signed by a licensed health care provider and indicate that the student is free of communicable tuberculosis. TB screenings can be performed at a physician’s office or through the Loudoun County Health Department.

    • Tdap booster within the last 5 years

    • Proof of residency

      • If you are renting, provide original lease

    • IEP or 504 plan (if applicable)

    • Custody/guardianship papers (if applicable)

  • Student transfers from another Loudoun County school only need to provide a completed registration form, proof of residency, and course selections for the next school year. If you move during the course of the school year, a withdrawal slip from the last LCPS school attended will also be required.

STEP 5:

  • Parent and child will come to the registration appointment with all of the required paperwork. Once all the paperwork has been verified, a counselor will meet with the student to choose classes for the upcoming school year.
