Mrs. Sarah Jo

I am excited to continue to work with all Lightridge students and families this year! The 2021-2022 school year will be my sixth year working as a School Counselor. Previously I have worked at River Bend Middle School and Manassas Park Elementary School.

I was born and raised in New York before relocating to Virginia to begin my career as a School Counselor. In my free time I enjoy reading, going on long walks with my dog Luna, and spending time with my friends and family. I also love watching football to root for my Nittany Lions and Buffalo Bills!

As a school counselor, I will support students’ academic, social/emotional, and career development through classroom counseling lessons, small group counseling and individual counseling. Additionally, as a Lightridge School Counselor I will assist students as they learn to become their best self, in school, at home, and in their community.
