B.S. in Psychology, Virginia Commonwealth University
M.A. in School Psychology, George Mason University
Hello! My name is Maral Abooali, and I am pleased to serve Lightridge High School as the school psychologist. After graduating from Loudoun County Public Schools (PFHS Class of 2009), I attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry. I then went on to obtain my Advanced M.A. in School Psychology from George Mason University, where I was extensively trained in psychological assessment, counseling, behavior analysis, consultation, and supporting school systems. My internship was completed with LCPS, and I served Potomac Falls High School for the past three years. I absolutely love being a school psychologist, and the most rewarding part of the job for me is the relationships I build with students. In addition to my responsibilities as a school psychologist, I am a LCPS Sources of Strength trainer and Adult Advisor.
I live in Sterling with my fiancé and 8-year-old cat named Kitty. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being the “fun aunt” to my niece and nephew, exercising, cooking, and travelling. I’m very much looking forward to making connections with students at Lightridge and helping to make their school experience as best as it can be. Go Bolts!
