Dear Parents,
First of all, THANK YOU, for the generous Amazon Wish List items, including our new pencil sharpener, which works wonderfully!! You've made my week!
On another note, we have a field trip scheduled for our class on December 4th. We will be joining Rooms 39 and 9 in visiting Petty Ranch, located in Saticoy, to support the culmination of our life science unit entitled "Structures of Life". The trip will enhance the students' knowledge of the life cycle of plants. The field trip forms are enclosed in the Corrected Work Envelopes and both forms must be filled out and returned within the week. They are due on Thursday, November 13th.
Also in regard to this trip, each class is able to take two parent chaperones. If you have been cleared by the school to serve as a volunteer and you know you are able to chaperone on this trip, please email me as soon as possible.
In other news, I am now in the process of scheduling fall conferences. Please click on the Sign-up Genius link in my email and schedule one as soon as possible. Spots fill up quickly and they are being scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Please be sure to bring your child to the conference, as each student will play a role in our discussion.
Finally, please note that each student has a new AR challenge that will end on December 2nd. Please look in your child's planner under November 5th. You will see a gold sticker labeled with your child's new points goal.
