Dear Parents,
Yesterday, your child brought home a sheet called, "What's in a Name?" The purpose of this assignment is for your child to be able to learn and share a bit of history and clarity regarding his/her name. You are welcome and encouraged to assist your child with this assignment. Please allow your child to do the writing. This assignment is due on or before Monday, 9/22. Thank you to all who have already turned it in.
On another note, today your child is bringing home a green AR point update slip. (It should be in his/her homework folder.). Please sign and return this slip by Monday, 9/22 as well.
Finally, as promised, Mrs. Fishman and I will begin our math groups on Wednesday. I will be teaching math to a mixture of her students and our students, as will she. My group will consist of students who at this time will benefit from a slower pace in math as we move through the curriculum. Mrs. Fishman's group will cover the same standards at a quicker pace. Both groups will use supplementary activities/projects at times throughout the year. Be assured that these groups will remain flexible. If a student in one of the groups is performing at a level that does not fit his/her needs, after careful consideration, the student can move into the other group.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Mrs. McLoud
