At Little Birds Nursery, we have been exploring the theme "How the World Works", focusing on how animals help people—especially guide dogs. Through this inquiry, the children have been learning that everyone is unique and important. As part of this exploration, they independently created figures using shaped paper, showcasing their creativity and fine motor skills.
Our young learners also demonstrated great curiosity and knowledge while discovering fascinating facts about jungle animals. They discussed different habitats and used map books to locate the countries where these animals can be found, deepening their understanding of the world around them.
This term, our featured author was Julia Donaldson, and the children thoroughly enjoyed listening to Monkey Puzzle. They enthusiastically talked about the various animals in the story and made connections to what they had learned about wildlife.
As we look ahead to the next term, Little Birds are excited to continue their learning journey with a new inquiry: "What animals lay eggs?" We can't wait to see where their curiosity takes them next!
Wishing everyone a joyful and restful Easter break!
