In this module, students are learning about how religion affects the communities of people of faith. Starting with the key principle of the Golden Rule, students are considering ways in which different religions help people to live together, with a particular focus on the example of Jesus and the experience of the Sikh community.

Year 8: What are they learning this module:
In this module students are studying the life of Jesus to consider Christian interpretations of love. Students will be examining the concept of agape love, considering why Christians think it is important to love their enemies and also think about the value of Situation Ethics.

Year 9: What are they learning this module:
In this module students are considering issues of gender and sexuality. They are examining religious and non-religious attitudes to sexual relationships within and outside of marriage, as well as concepts of promiscuity and adultery. Students are also looking at different approaches to LGBT+ relationships and the concept of modesty in dress and behaviour.
