It has been another incredibly busy year for our budding linguists at DPA.
Our school has deservedly achieved the International School Award in recognition of our international minded ethos as an IB school.
Our French and Spanish clubs are going strong and we hope to see even more children joining next term!
We have established our link with a French primary school in Pia and started sharing letters and common projects for our learners. More recently, we have started collaborating with the Leigh Academy MFL team in order to organise exciting events and learning activities for our children and to ease our year 6 transition into secondary school, so watch this space!
This term, Year 3 classes have learned about the vocabulary of fruit and vegetables and learned how to buy food at the market.
Year 4 children have learned to talk about what they eat and drink for breakfast and lunch at the café.
Year 5 children have designed fantastic school uniforms, learned to describe what they wear for different occasions and have learned to talk about where they live.
Year 6
Finally, Year 6 classes have begun to talk about healthy and unhealthy living and food options in French.
