IB and Careers News

This year has been one of our busiest and most successful years at DPA. At the start of the academic year we were authorised to deliver the IB Primary Years Programme. Dartford Primary Academy is an IB World School. Through careful planning and curriculum design, we interweave the values and vision of the IB PYP with those of the National Curriculum. Children at DPA have a joy for learning and all visitors to the academy are frequently blown away by the knowledge and joy shared by our Class Reps. This term has seen some fabulous inquiries take place and you can find out more about each of them in the year group sections.

Our Careers learning journey has been equally impressive. This term we held a Leigh Academies Trust Careers Showcase for our children to share their careers related learning and aspirations with colleagues from around the trust. This was followed immediately by our Careers Accreditation visit. During this, children and staff spoke to an assessor to again share their learning and aspirations for the future. Dartford Primary Academy has fully achieved the national quality award for its careers education, information, advice and guidance provision.
