Virtual teacher training event had three days of duration with the participation of 7 Spanish teachers, 3 Italian teachers, 5 Portuguese teachers and 4 Greek teachers.
This virtual teacher training had:
The virtual welcome of all the participants with the participation of the headmasters and headmistress of the four schools, the coordinators and the teachers participating in the project. This welcome helped to share the aims of the project and how each school will participate in leading all the activities proposed in the project.
A seminar on the causes and consequences of climate change, ethical and social questions related to a new Era of Climate Change, Lifestyle and European Quality of Life. The seminar was prepared and implemented by the Portuguese team and gave the theoretical background for the other activities to be developed during the project to help students recognize the particularities of the consequences of climate change in each country and prepare the pre-assessment of students’ knowledge on climate change. This pre-assessment was implemented after the virtual meeting in each school.
A seminar on Seminar on STE(A)M curriculum about the pedagogical principles of curriculum integration, methodologies (process based learning, inquiry and collaboration), design and evaluation tasks and STE(A)M climate change tasks. The seminar was led by the Greek team of teachers and gave us the opportunity to discuss the differences of approaches of STE(A)M education in each school and how these approaches should be kept in the logo designed by the students participating in the project.
A workshop on the use of information and communication technologies Google drive tools document storage, forms for evaluation, documents edition and google site for Webpage creation. The workshop helped teachers to prepare the structure of the google drive storage for sharing all the information of the C1 short exchange of teachers, prepare the forms for the pre-assessment of students and create the WebPage (google site) of the project. The workshop was led by the Spanish team of teachers.
A workshop on the use of eTwinning Twinspace: information inclusion (written and visual), sharing information and communication, using forums and chat rooms. The workshop was led by the Italian team of teachers and posed on practice in the P25: LECLIC virtual conference on climate change.
A workshop on the use and design of Virtual Reality resources. The theoretical part of this workshop was led by the Spanish team of teachers.
