Our school is a Junior High School of 90 learners aged 12-15 years old. The number of teachers in our school is 20.
Most of them are permanently set in our school. In case anyone leaves we will replace them during the project with members of the new staff. As we are a fairly small school we have adopted strong bonds between the members of the staff and we always feel as a great family whatever changes take place, always eagerly to help each other on whatever occasion. Situated in the capital city of Achaia, Patras. Patras is the port from which the ships leave for Italy. Our learners come from a poor family background with unemployed and in most cases divorced parents so through such a project they will have the chance to do something new and to come into contact with fellow learners and civilisations they might not have the chance to experience again in their lives. We are participating for the second time in such a project.
Our school has been involved in many national, cultural and environmental projects. In previous years we have done as far as the environmental project is concerned a topic on 'Glavkos River' (a river next to our school) and how we can save it from pollution and human intervention and, thus, contribute by making a small step to the saving of our planet.
We have also carried out successfully an ERASMUS+ Project in the years 2015-2017 with its subject being ''LET'S
SAVE THE LIFE ON OUR PLANET'.
