ACT Testing Tuesday

Post date: Oct 05, 2020 3:0:22 AM

Hello Everyone,

Don't forget that this Tuesday is the ACT test for all seniors and those juniors and sophomores who chose to take it.  We need all of them to be at school no later than 7:45 to be sure to check them in on time.  ACT rules are very strict and we are not allowed to check students in after the test has begun so please help us get your son/daughter to school no later than 7:45 on Tuesday.  If they are not taking the test but received an academic referral they do not need to report to school until 8:30. This will allow us time to check in the nearly 250 students into ACT testing before we check in our academic referrals.  If they come on the bus, or the normal drop off is still the best option then that is no problem, please feel free to stick with that program.  Virtual students remember if you are referred you either need to come in on Tuesday or coordinate a plan with your referring teacher by tomorrow on how that will work for them on Tuesday.  All students not taking the ACT nor referred by a teacher are not expected to attend school on Tuesday as there will be no normal classes.  Remember if your student is taking the ACT and received referrals they need to take the test, and then report to their referrals afterwards.  Students taking the ACT but do not have referrals will be dismissed after the ACT around lunch time.  We will be serving pizza to our students that are in attendance on Tuesday.

Congrats to our volleyball team who earned two road wins this weekend in Wheatland and Burns.  They will host top-seeded Pinedale on Saturday at 11-12-1, and then Kemmerer at 5 and 6 later that day.  Our swim team had a big day at the pool on Friday night with several new swimmers earning their coveted jackets and more importantly their qualification to the state meet in November.  They will host rival Riverton this Friday before hitting the road to Jackson on Saturday.  Our cross country team celebrated senior night and their final race on the Lander Golf Course on Thursday with strong finishes in both the girls and boys races for the TIgers. Our football team heads into rivalry week with Riverton following a close loss at Douglas on Friday 20-13.  Details on attendance at the Friday night game in Riverton will be announced later this week.

Lifetouch will be back tomorrow (Monday) for retakes for anyone that were not pleased with their original photos.  Our PIE meeting for October is this Tuesday at 12 pm.  You can join the meeting live at LVHS or you can also join us on Zoom using the following link:
