Agenda 2030 – FAME ZERO
SEMI al FUTURO Action! è un concorso indetto dal Civico Polo Linguistico A. Manzoni di Milano, che affronta, ogni anno, un obiettivo dell’Agenda 2030. Il tema della 6° edizione è l’Obiettivo 2 dell’Agenda 2030:
Porre fine alla fame, raggiungere la sicurezza alimentare, migliorare la nutrizione e promuovere un'agricoltura sostenibile
È giunto il momento di riconsiderare come coltiviamo, condividiamo e consumiamo il cibo. Se gestite bene, l’agricoltura, la silvicoltura e la pesca possono offrire cibo nutriente per tutti e generare redditi adeguati, sostenendo uno sviluppo rurale sostenibile.
Eppure, al giorno d’oggi, si stanno degradando rapidamente i nostri suoli, fiumi, oceani e foreste, in una parola tutta la nostra biodiversità. Il cambiamento climatico sta esercitando pressioni crescenti sulle risorse da cui dipendiamo, aumentando i rischi associati a disastri ambientali, come siccità e alluvioni.
E’ necessario un cambiamento profondo nel sistema mondiale agricolo e alimentare, se vogliamo nutrire le 795 milioni di persone che oggi soffrono la fame e gli altri 2 miliardi di persone che abiteranno la Terra nel 2050.
Ci auguriamo che i vostri film, come dei “semi”, potranno aiutare la riflessione, mettendo radice in cittadini consapevoli della necessità di un futuro sostenibile per tutti.
After decades of steady decline, the number of people who suffer from hunger – as measured by the prevalence of undernourishment – began to slowly increase again in 2015. Today, more than 820 million people regularly go to bed hungry, of whom about 135 million suffer from acute hunger largely due to man-made conflicts, climate change and economic downturns.
With more than a quarter of a billion people potentially at the brink of starvation, swift action needs to be taken to provide food and humanitarian relief to the most at-risk regions.
At the same time, a profound change of the global food and agriculture system is needed if we are to nourish the more than 795 million people who are hungry and the additional 2 billion people the world will have by 2050.
We hope that your films, like “seeds”, will be able to help reflection, taking root in citizens who are aware of the need for a sustainable future for all.
