Week Commencing: 29.09.25
This week the children have begun planning a piece of writing based off of two Lost Things designed by Mr Coate. In their planning they had to select key adjectives to help describe their chosen Lost Thing, remembering to use our key technique of 'show don't tell'. To ensure they were supported in their writing, the children also pre planned fronted adverbials and expanded noun phrases they were going to use in their writing.
By the end of the week the children had all written their very own paragraphs describing both the appearance and personality of The Lost Thing.
This Half Term the Children have been hard at work creating their own lost thing and writing 2 paragraphs. One about the appearance of their lost thing and the other about the personality. Mr. Coate has been super impressed with their paragraphs and the thought the children have put into their writing.
