Monday 8th January
LI: To carry out investigations to compare the biodegradability of different everyday materials for particular uses
We have buried different materials to see if they would biodegrade in the ground. We are going to dig them up on Tuesday 6th February and see how they have changed!
Friday 2nd February
LI: To plan and carry out investigations based on recycling
We have learnt about the process of recycling and today we have started to make our own paper.
We are finding out which recycled material is best to make paper from: blue paper towel, recycled writing paper, magazines, newspapers.
Tuesday 6th February
LI: To carry out investigations to compare the biodegradability of different everyday materials for particular uses
We dig our experiment up today to find out which material is the best to biodegrade.
Thursday 8th February
LI: To plan and carry out investigations based on recycling
Today we mixed up the materials to make pulp and put the pulp into frames. We had to press them down to make the paper as flat as possible!
